Welcome to the IMA Sports Extravaganza 2024! We are thrilled to host a wide array of sports activities designed to challenge, entertain, and inspire our dedicated medical professionals. Below, you'll find detailed information and rules for each sport. Please review them carefully to ensure a safe and fair competition for all participants.

Marathon Route Description:

The marathon route has been carefully planned to offer a scenic yet challenging experience for all participants.

Starting from Marine Drive, runners will pass through some of Mumbai's most iconic landmarks and picturesque areas.

Starting Point: Marine Drive, Near NCPA
Checkpoint 1: Chowpatty Beach (5 km)
Checkpoint 2: Haji Ali Dargah (10 km)
Checkpoint 3: Worli Sea Face (15 km)
Midpoint: Bandra-Worli Sea Link (21 km)
Checkpoint 4: Bandstand Promenade (26 km)
Checkpoint 5: Shivaji Park (31 km)
Checkpoint 6: Siddhivinayak Temple (36 km)
Finish Line: Gateway of India (42.195 km)

Cricket Rules and Regulations

Compete in an exciting T20 cricket tournament at the iconic Shivaji Park, Dadar, Mumbai. Form teams of 11 players and showcase your cricketing skills.

Rules and Regulations:

Team Composition: Each team must have 11 players, all registered doctors with the IMA.
Match Format: Matches are T20 format (20 overs per side).
Equipment: Players must wear appropriate cricket attire and bring their own gear.
Bowling Restrictions: Maximum 4 overs per bowler.
Powerplay: First 6 overs with only two fielders outside the 30-yard circle.
Code of Conduct: High standards of sportsmanship and respect for umpire decisions.

Group Stage: October 25th, 10:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Quarterfinals: October 26th, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Semifinals and Final: October 27th, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Registration Deadline: 5th August 2024.

Badminton

Show off your agility and precision in our badminton tournament at the Indoor Sports Hall. Compete in singles and doubles categories.

Rules and Regulations:

Matches: Best of 3 sets, each set up to 21 points.
Equipment: Players must use shuttlecocks provided by the organizers and wear non-marking shoes.
BWF Rules: All Badminton World Federation rules apply.

Preliminary Rounds: October 25th, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Quarterfinals and Semifinals: October 26th, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Finals: October 27th, 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Registration Deadline: 5th August 2024

Volleyball

Join our thrilling volleyball matches, featuring teams of 6 players. All participants must be IMA-registered doctors. Spike, block, and serve your way to victory.

Rules and Regulations:

Matches: Best of 3 sets, each set up to 25 points (must win by 2 points).
FIVB Rules: All International Volleyball Federation rules apply.
Attire: Proper volleyball attire is required.

Event Date and Time:
Preliminary Rounds: October 26th, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Finals: October 27th, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Venue: Volleyball Court, IMA House, Mumbai
Registration Deadline: 5th August 2024

Chess

Put your strategic skills to the test in our chess tournament, open to all IMA-registered doctors. Categories for different skill levels are available.

Rules and Regulations:

Matches: Timed with a 30-minute limit per player.
Equipment: Players must bring their own chess clocks.
FIDE Rules: All FIDE rules apply.

Preliminary Rounds: October 26th, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Finals: October 27th, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Venue: Chess Hall, IMA House, Mumbai

Table Tennis

Fast-paced and thrilling, our table tennis event is open to all skill levels. Compete in singles or doubles matches at the Indoor Sports Hall.

Rules and Regulations:

Matches: Best of 5 sets, each set up to 11 points.
Equipment: Players must use approved equipment.
ITTF Rules: All International Table Tennis Federation rules apply.
